Data Deletion
How to disconnect connected platforms and permanently delete your BrandALE account and data.
Overview
This page explains how to delete your BrandALE data, including data obtained from connected platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok.
You can disconnect a platform at any time to stop further data access, delete your account from BrandALE settings, or request deletion from our support team.
Disconnect A Connected Platform
To revoke BrandALE's access to a specific platform and remove the tokens and scoped data tied to that connection:
- Open BrandALE and go to Integrations.
- Find the platform you want to remove, including LinkedIn or YouTube when you want to revoke BrandALE's access to that platform.
- Click Disconnect. This deletes the active OAuth connection and stops BrandALE from making further requests to that account. Page or channel identifiers, publishing records, and security logs may remain until you delete your account or submit a verified data deletion request.
- You can also revoke BrandALE's Google and YouTube access directly from the Google Account connections page.
- You can also revoke BrandALE's LinkedIn access from LinkedIn Settings & Privacy under Data privacy and Permitted services. LinkedIn explains the steps in its permitted services help page.
Delete Your Account And Data
To permanently delete your BrandALE account and the data associated with it:
- Open BrandALE, go to Settings, open Account, and choose Delete account. Enter the account email address to confirm. The in-product deletion removes the account and associated BrandALE data immediately when completed.
- If you cannot access the account, email support@brandale.ai from the associated address with the subject "Data Deletion Request" and include the workspace name so we can locate the data.
- We will complete a verified deletion request as soon as possible and no later than seven calendar days after receiving the request.
What Gets Deleted
A deletion request removes your account profile, workspace membership, stored authorization tokens for connected platforms, and the content and media generated or uploaded under your account.
For LinkedIn, this includes the active OAuth connection, stored LinkedIn member or organization identifiers, connected profile or Page details, and BrandALE publishing records associated with your account. Deleting BrandALE data does not delete posts or other information already stored by LinkedIn.
For YouTube, this includes YouTube API data stored by BrandALE. Deleting BrandALE data does not delete videos, channels, or other information stored by YouTube. To delete information from YouTube, use YouTube directly or another authorized client that supports that action.
Some records may be retained where required for legal, security, or compliance reasons, and are deleted or de-identified once no longer needed.
Timing
In-product account deletion is performed immediately when the request succeeds. Verified support-assisted deletion requests are completed as soon as possible and no later than seven calendar days. You will receive confirmation once the deletion is complete.
